August 1st and 2nd marks the 30th anniversary of Billy Starr’s creation the Pan Mass Challenge to raise funds for the Dana Farber – Jimmy Fund. Since 1980, the PMC has contributed over $239 million to cancer research and treatment, an incredible amount of money. In that span of time thousands of riders have ridden miles or the equivalent of trips to the moon and back, It’s been an unbelievable journey starting ever so modestly with a handful of participants to this years 6000 cyclists huffing it out for 2 days rain or shine on this giant humanitarian mission. Last year was a financial record breaker way beyond expectations with contributions of $35 million. However, since our 2008 ride the economy has been in a tailspin affecting everyone. It is a difficult time to be in the fund raising business but more than ever we need your support. Understandably, finances are tight but we can’t let cancer’s grip get tighter. This disease knows no boundaries nor cares about the economy. It’s that time again to dig deep and do what you can to help. I know you can do it as well as I know I am going to crank out 200 miles on my bike to ride for the cause. Join my Spirit Rider Team…every bite helps. Thank you, John Angier, Ridin Til He Drops
